FAIRLAWN, N.J. -- Nancy (Stemniski) Poplawski, 96, died Wednesday, Nov. 18.
Born in Jersey City, she resided in New York City before moving to Fair Lawn more than 40 years ago.
Poplawski was a faithful parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, where she was a member of the St. Anne Seniors. She will be remembered for her traditional Christmas Eve dinners.
She was the beloved wife of 50 years of the late Boleslaus “Ben” S. Poplawski; loving and devoted mother of Frank Poplawski and wife Joan; and Pete Poplawski and wife Linda; cherished grandmother of Denise Humphreys and Lorraine Hopman; and the dear great-grandmother of Alexis Miranda and Madison Miranda.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m. Friday at Vander Plaat-Caggiano Funeral Home, Saddle River Road, Fair Lawn. A funeral service is planned at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
